All data on MySolarCheck comes from publicly available, official sources. We do not collect or modify raw data — we make it more accessible and easier to understand.
Solar Installation Data
Installation counts, capacity, and geographic distribution come from state-level interconnection databases and the following federal sources:
- NREL Open PV Project — National Renewable Energy Laboratory
- EIA Electricity Data — U.S. Energy Information Administration
Incentives & Tax Credits
State and federal incentive information is sourced from:
Equipment Specifications
Panel, inverter, and battery specifications come from manufacturer datasheets and the California DG Stats interconnection database.
Limitations
- Data is updated periodically and may have a slight lag
- Not all states report installation data at the same granularity
- Cost estimates are averages and will vary based on specific circumstances
- This site is independent and not affiliated with any government agency
